Abstract
Cloud computing is a rising paradigm during which information technology re-sources are provided over the web as a service to users. Load balancing is a mechanism to distribute the work equally to any or all nodes within the system to achieve the higher resource utilization and user satisfaction. It provides help in allocation and de-allocation of instances of applications without failure. Scheduling in cloud computing is a technique that is employed to boost the overall execution time of the work. A good scheduling algorithm will help in load balancing as well. In this paper we present a survey on Load Balancing & Scheduling methods and techniques in cloud computing.
Introduction
Cloud computing is an on demand service in which shared resources, information, software and other devices are provided according to the clients requirement at specific time. It’s a term which is generally used in case of Internet. The whole Internet can be viewed as a cloud. Capital and operational costs can be cut using cloud computing.
Conclusion
In this paper, we discussed various techniques that are implemented for Load Balancing. Although there are various Load Balancing schemes have been implemented for the distributing the load among various nodes of a distributed system to improve both resource utilization and job response time while also avoiding a situation where some of the nodes are heavily loaded while other nodes are idle or doing very little work.
