Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 October 2026. This policy explains what personal data the International Journal for Rapid Research in Engineering Technology & Applied Science (IJRRETAS, ISSN 2455-4723) collects through www.ijrretas.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for authors in the European Union, the GDPR.

1. Who we are

IJRRETAS is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published from Tilak Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. For this policy, IJRRETAS is the "data fiduciary" (data controller). You can contact us about privacy at info@ijrretas.com or +91 77710 84928.

  • Peer review: reviewer names, email addresses and expertise, and the review reports.
  • Publication fee payment: name, email, phone number, Paper ID, amount and the transaction reference returned by the payment gateway. We never see or store card numbers, UPI PINs or net-banking passwords. These are entered only on the secure pages of our payment partners (Cashfree Payments and Razorpay).

  • Contact and enquiry forms: your name, email, phone number and message.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit, recorded in server logs for security and to diagnose problems.

3. How we use your information

  • To register your submission, give it a Paper ID and send you a confirmation email.
  • To run the editorial and double-blind peer-review process and send you decision letters (acceptance, revision or rejection).
  • To collect the publication fee, confirm the payment and send you a receipt.
  • To publish accepted papers with author names, affiliations and, where you provide them, ORCID iDs, and to issue certificates.
  • To register DOIs with Crossref and to share bibliographic metadata with indexing services such as Google Scholar.
  • To answer your questions and keep the website secure.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. We send emails about your own submissions. Journal announcements (for example, calls for papers) are sent only where you have a relationship with the journal, and you can opt out at any time by writing to us.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a manuscript or a form, and because the processing is necessary to provide the publication service you asked for. Article metadata is published on the basis of the journal's legitimate purpose of making research openly available.

5. Who we share data with

  • Reviewers and editors: your manuscript is shared with editors and reviewers for evaluation. Under double-blind review, author identities are not shown to reviewers.
  • Payment gateways: Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. and Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd., only to process your payment.
  • Crossref and indexing services: title, author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, abstract and references of published papers.
  • Service providers: our web hosting and email providers, who process data only on our instructions.
  • Authorities: when the law requires it.

6. What becomes public

When a paper is published, its title, abstract, author names, affiliations, the full text (PDF) and the DOI are publicly available under the journal's open-access policy. Unpublished manuscripts, email addresses, phone numbers and payment details are never made public.

7. Cookies

The website uses essential cookies for sessions and security (for example, keeping the editorial office logged in to the admin panel). Payment partners may set their own cookies on their checkout pages. You can block cookies in your browser; the public pages will still work.

8. How long we keep data

  • Published papers and their metadata are kept permanently as part of the scholarly record.
  • Unpublished or rejected manuscripts and their author details are kept for up to 3 years, then deleted.
  • Payment records are kept for 8 years as required by Indian tax and accounting law.
  • Server logs are kept for up to 12 months.

9. Security

The whole site uses HTTPS encryption. Manuscript files that are not yet published cannot be downloaded publicly, the admin panel is password protected, and payment secrets are stored encrypted. No system is completely secure, but we review our safeguards regularly and will tell affected users and the authorities about any serious breach as the law requires.

10. Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data (for example, an author name or affiliation);
  • delete your data or withdraw your consent, unless we must keep it by law. Published articles can be corrected but are normally not removed from the scholarly record (see our journal policies);
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf;
  • raise a grievance.

Write to info@ijrretas.com from your registered email address and quote your Paper ID. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
