Abstract

Mohammad Kaif born in a sportsman family on 1st December 1980 at Allahabad (u.p). His father Mohammad Tarif was a well known cricketer of the country and represented Indian Railways as well as Uttar Pradesh team in Ranji Trophy tournaments. Kaif is the younger son among the family; kaif’s family name is “HONEY”. The Paper is prepared to identify and highlight Mohammad Kaif as a motivator among youth in India. The paper is conceptual in nature for which secondary data is collected and analyzed with the help of researchers’ prior knowledge and information. The paper aims as analyzing and identifying the role of Kaif as an icon in IPL and Indian Cricket world. The career graph of Kaif is studied as case study by young enterers to learn about the cricket world and the graph also signifies the important contribution of Kaif in the field of sports and helps in promoting the status of sports in India.

Introduction

Mohammad Kaif started is professional career in the year of 1992- 93 at Green park hostel in Kanpur (u.p.) Mohammad Kaif an icon batsman and fielder is known for his brilliant career in Indian Cricket. His debut in Test cricket was against South Africa at Bangalore in 2000. He played his first one day international match against England at Kanpur in January 2002.

Mohammad Kaif was described as a man with a cool head. He was never seen shouting and yelling in any condition on the field or off the field. He is reserve in nature. He is a hard worker and regular in his routine work. He is a committed man and entirely devoted to cricket. Cricket is in his blood and even after retirement from International Cricket, he is promoting cricket. He is a warm- hearted person and sober, who keeps himself away from glamour and publicity.
